Gonen Haklay
Senior Attorney
Through his relentless dedication and attention to detail, Gonen has earned the accolades of his peers, clients, and the Courts as a tireless advocate for his clients. Gonen’s extensive legal background in both criminal and civil lawsuits has provided him with experience in all stages of litigation from initial investigation, to discovery, to motion practice, all the way to jury verdict. His background and intimate understanding of the legal system separates him from other attorneys. After receiving his law degree from Stanford Law School, Gonen spent several years at a large Philadelphia law firm before joining the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office as an Assistant District Attorney. The District Attorney quickly elevated Gonen to the Homicide Unit, where he prosecuted both capital and non-capital cases. Gonen obtained convictions in every homicide jury trial he prosecuted. He was responsible for all aspects of murder cases, from investigation through trial and sentencing. His peers have recognized his exceptional ability to cross-examine both fact and expert witnesses and to synthesize complex issues of fact and law. During his tenure with the District Attorney’s office, Gonen successfully tried over 100 criminal jury trials and an even greater number of bench trials. After 12 years as an Assistant District Attorney, Gonen decided to make the transition from criminal to civil law. He continued to try high stakes cases and championed the rights of individuals and their families who had been exposed to asbestos in their workplaces or homes. Along with his vast trial experience, Gonen brings his passion for helping individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others to Rosen Injury Lawyers. By applying his incisiveness and expert examination skills in the civil arena, Gonen has obtained millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for his clients.
